The House Health Committee began its agenda with a series of procedural votes, advancing three measures to be reported out of committee. Vice Chair Dieter moved to report House Resolution 87 back to the floor and recommend adoption; the clerk recorded 12 votes in the affirmative and none in the negative, and the chair declared the resolution approved.
The committee then took up Senate Bill 20 and, following Chair Dieter’s motion to report it back and recommend passage, recorded 12 affirmative votes and no negatives. The chair closed the third hearing on SB 20 after announcing the vote.
House Bill 104 was next. With no testimony offered, Vice Chair Jeter moved to report HB 104 back and recommend passage. The roll call again showed 12 in favor and none opposed, and the chair declared the bill passed in committee.
Each of the three measures was advanced by committee action; the committee announced the favorable tallies and concluded each respective hearing. The committee proceeded to take public testimony on other bills on the agenda after these votes.
