House Development Committee advances House Bill 86 to Rules after unanimous vote

"Mister chairman, I propose we favorably vote out house bill 86 and that it be reported to rules in reference," Vice Chair Lorenz said during the meeting. The clerk called the roll and the committee recorded 11 yes and 0 no votes; the measure was advanced.
Chair Hoopes noted that proponent testimony materials were on members' iPads and that written proponent materials identified county treasurers and Kevin Futrick as supporting the bill. The committee did not record in-person proponent remarks beyond the materials on the docket.
Members were reminded to sign the official vote document before leaving; the chair said the roll would remain open until noon for any late signatures. The committee also held and closed a third hearing on House Bill 17 with no testimony.
The committee took no further formal action on the other bills that day and moved on to a third hearing for Senate Bill 6 later in the session.
