Council approves consent agenda, accepts grants and appointments in unanimous votes

At its work session, Virginia Beach City Council approved a 22‑item consent agenda that included ordinances, appropriations and project agreements, accepted several grants and noted a deferral request for a property sale; the council also approved a slate of appointments to advisory boards and recessed to a closed session earlier in the meeting.

City staff read the consent items aloud; highlights included resolutions to pursue VDOT revenue‑sharing projects (Cleveland Street improvements and Holland Road Phase 1), acceptance of state appropriations for mental health and behavioral services, and grant funding for emergency radio system replacement.
