An unidentified council member moved adoption of the consent agenda and another seconded. The clerk called the roll and recorded aye votes from Ford, Edgar Smith, Sutphin, Watson and Anderson; the motion carried.
Later in the meeting the council moved and seconded reappointments of Lauren Colliver and Susan Mattingly to the New River Valley Agency on Aging for one-year terms. The clerk recorded ayes during roll call and the reappointments were approved.
The council offered a brief announcement that early voting has begun and then adjourned.
