Board approves tax rate, district agreements and routine business during September meeting

"This turns out to be a favorable rate for the taxpayer," he said, adding it translates to "an approximate savings of roughly $6.63 per $1,000 of assessed value" compared with the spring estimate. The board voted to set the tax rate accordingly.
