Felicia Knox, director of the Bartlett Public Library and a member of the Leadership Bartlett Class of 2025, presented the class’s project: a children’s book titled "Robbie Raccoon's Bartlett Adventure" and distributed signed copies to the mayor and each alderman.
Knox described the book’s local scenes — including the firehouse, police station and Bartlett Library — and said the class produced the book as a culmination of what they learned about city, county and state government. Courtney Sims and other Leadership Bartlett members were present to receive recognition.
During recognitions the mayor invited Kevin France forward and proclaimed Tuesday, Sept. 16, as IT Professionals Day in Bartlett, thanking IT staff for maintaining the city’s systems. Later in the meeting entertainer Todd Alford announced that Jay Jones will perform Sept. 20 at 7:00 p.m. at Bartlett Live; Alford said the show is free and that Jones will film a music video during the event.
These items were presented for community awareness; no formal board action or funding decisions were recorded for these items at this meeting.
