Bartlett accepts grants, hires A2H for due-diligence at Innovation Park annexation

Kim Taylor, director of planning and economic development, told the board the city’s Feb. 2024 annexation of more than 300 acres created Bartlett Innovation Park and that the city has been awarded two grants from the Tennessee Department of Economic Development and the Tennessee Valley Authority to fund environmental due-diligence studies necessary to certify the site.
Taylor said the city posted an RFQ on Aug. 7, 2025, and on Sept. 15 selected A2H to conduct the studies. The studies will include environmental assessments and preparatory work intended to make the property a certified Tennessee site and attract industrial development. Taylor said the site provides roughly 200–225 buildable acres after accounting for floodplain areas within the annexed property.
The board accepted the grants and approved the contract with A2H; the motion passed unanimously, 5–0.
Why it matters: The due-diligence work clears environmental questions that prospective industrial tenants require before locating on a site and helps position Bartlett to attract new jobs and investment.
Next steps: Staff will execute the contract with A2H and proceed with the environmental assessments required for site certification.
