The Everett School Committee completed several routine and substantive votes at its Sept. 2 meeting. Highlights:
• Waive reading of minutes from Aug. 25, 2025: Motion to waive reading and place the minutes on file passed by voice vote.
• Accept superintendent’s report: Motion made by Miss Babcock, seconded by Miss Cristiano; the report was accepted and placed on file by voice vote.
• Adopt Bullying Prevention and Intervention Plan: Motion for favorable action to accept the updated policy was made by Miss Cristiano, seconded by Miss Babcock. Roll call recorded six affirmative votes (Miss Babcock; Miss Barrows; Miss Cornelia; Miss Cristiano; Miss Garren; Madam chair). Result: Approved, 6‑0.
• Crimson Community Mentorship Program facility use and fee waiver: Motion to approve use of the Everett High School Crimson Café on Oct. 18, 2025, and to waive any associated fee was moved by Miss Babcock and seconded by Miss Barrows. Roll call was unanimous: 6‑0 in favor.
• Adjournment: Motion to adjourn was moved and seconded; meeting adjourned at 7:22 p.m.
All actions taken are recorded in the meeting minutes and the district will follow up on posting policy updates and providing a formal donation acceptance list.
