Board asked to cover mentor stipends for 11 novice teachers

Board members asked clarifying questions: mentors are district teachers or specialists paired by subject area and fit, the administration confirmed the program can be fit into the budget, and the administration said mentor assignments will be brought to the next meeting for formal approval.
No formal vote was taken at the Jan. 7 meeting; the item will return on the next agenda with mentor names for approval.
