Camden County elections board delays bylaw changes to allow review by new member

The Camden County Board of Elections and Registrations postponed consideration of proposed bylaw amendments to its next meeting to give newly seated board member Vernon Higgins an opportunity to review the draft changes.
During new business, a board member asked for a delay, citing the board’s need to allow a new member time to familiarize himself with the proposed elections criteria and bylaws. "I'd like to make a motion that we postpone the adoption until Mister Vernon has a chance to review the bylaw changes and the existing bylaws," one board member said. The motion was seconded and the board voted to postpone adoption for further review.
Chair Robin Maynard Knight noted the postponement will allow additional discussion at the next regular meeting.
