The Mentor City Planning Commission on Sept. 25 approved a conditional‑use permit for an indoor golf simulator business to operate at 8020 Tyler Boulevard, Unit 102B.
Applicant Corey Cantrell introduced himself and said his business has been open about two years at 8613 Tyler Boulevard. "We've opened been open for about 2 years, indoor golf facility," Cantrell said. He described operations as year‑round simulator rentals with lessons and club fittings, and said the proposed move would allow a larger facility to serve more customers.
City staff noted three recommended conditions in the staff report. No members of the public spoke in favor or opposition during the public hearing. After questions from the commission, a motion to approve the conditional‑use permit with the three staff conditions carried on a roll‑call vote.
The applicant thanked the commission; the conditions will be incorporated into the permit documentation and must be satisfied before the use begins at the new location.
