Item 3: On second reading, the council approved a zoning change for 5.22 acres of a 27-acre tract at 2911 Old Union Road, changing that portion from residential large to apartment zoning and amending the future land-use plan for the area to high-density residential. Staff reported receipt of four letters opposing and one letter supporting the request from residents within the required 200-foot notice area; council discussion included a question about the percentage of adjacent landowners opposed (staff calculated about 13.5%). The motion to approve carried.
