At its Aug. 4 meeting, the Waunakee Village Board handled routine business items and several votes on the consent agenda.
With the president participating remotely, the board nominated and elected Trustee Sam Kaufman to chair the meeting in the president’s absence. The board noted a clerical correction to meeting minutes (a misspelling of Kaufman’s name) and approved the corrected minutes and the consent agenda items that were not pulled.
The board approved the appointment of Elizabeth Albrecht Hikes to the Sustainable Waunakee ad hoc committee, the appointment being made as recommended by the village president. The appointment was approved by voice vote as part of the consent process.
No public comments were received during the public-comment period; board members also heard brief committee reports later in the meeting.
