City staff told the Sept. 8 work session that multiple infrastructure projects are progressing across Snellville.
Speaker 4 said Briscoe Park completed the water-main connection and crews will demolish the old water main under the building as the project moves toward a slab pour by month's end. On financing, staff reported a positive initial meeting with the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA), which will provide a financing road map.
On sewer work, Speaker 4 said Northland began a sewer bore under the road near United Community Bank to avoid an open cut of Wisteria; casing will be installed to embed the sewer line, with an expected return to the manhole on the far side.
On telecommunications, staff said a company called Ansco completed conduit installation (the reinforced conduit that holds fiber) and that AT&T is expected to start cutovers to new fiber within days or the coming week.
No formal actions or contract awards were recorded during the work-session discussion on Sept. 8; staff said it will keep the council updated as the projects proceed.
