City staff announced upcoming community meetings for parks planning and Measure L outreach.
"This meeting will be Tuesday, 09/09/2025 here at Town Center Hall beginning at 6PM," Parks and Recreation Director Gus Hernandez said when describing the first community workshop for the parks, recreation and community services master plan. Hernandez said the meeting is the first in a series and invited residents to provide feedback.
Hernandez also announced a family bingo night focused on education about Measure L, the tax initiative to appear on the Nov. 4 ballot; the bingo night is scheduled for Thursday, 09/18, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. He said the event will be free with preregistration requested and that the city's nonprofit will hold monthly bingo nights beginning in October to raise funds for community programs.
The council received the announcements; no council action was required at the meeting.
