Elmsford board confirms secretary, approves routine resolutions and hears department updates

The Elmsford Village Board confirmed the mayoral appointment of Audrey Wilson as secretary and approved a series of routine resolutions and community items during its meeting. Trustees recorded roll-call approvals for appointments and several consent items while staff provided updates on building projects, library programs, recreation registration and emergency services.

The board voted to confirm Audrey Wilson’s appointment after a motion and second were recorded. Trustees present who cast recorded 'Aye' votes included Trustee Coffey, Trustee Lopez, Trustee Dorio and Trustee Corrales; Mayor Williams also recorded an affirmative vote. Departmental and program updates followed the votes. Public safety updates noted the fire department responded to 80 fire-related incidents in July and EMS reported 66 calls for the month; the new EMS vehicle has arrived and is awaiting lights, sirens and lettering before entering service. Village IT work to replace network equipment across municipal sites was reported as ongoing, and roof projects at Grady and Dixie schools were said to be progressing in time for the coming school year.
