Board fills vacancy, elects vice chair and adds secretary

Mr. Whitehead nominated Joe Brzezinski to serve as vice chair; after a second and a roll-call vote, Brzezinski was elected. The board also agreed to add agenda item 7A to nominate a new secretary and subsequently approved the nomination of Cecil Whitehead to that role.
Board members offered congratulations to the appointees and took informal photos with family members in the audience. The chair noted that the official swearing-in for the new member would take place in a subsequent, formal procedure.
All three procedural items were approved by voice or roll-call vote as recorded during the meeting.
