City Administrator Jerry told the South Lebanon City Council on Aug. 21 that he has decided Nov. 30 will be his last day with the city after roughly 10½ years of service. He thanked council, staff and community partners and said he looks forward to other pursuits after leaving the role.
Jerry summarized ongoing projects that will continue through the fall, including Morrow Road paving nearing completion, a PRV interconnection project wrapping up and River Creek’s expected first occupancy later this year. He also announced that the city has hired a new code enforcement officer, Chad Mannix, who is scheduled to begin on Sept. 8 and was described in the meeting as a retired police officer and detective from the city of Vandalia.
Council members offered personal remarks and congratulations on Jerry’s long service. Mayor Linda Burke and council said Jerry will participate in hiring his successor and the city will plan a retirement celebration ahead of his departure.
