Board hears curriculum changes; district to house behavioral disabilities classroom at Lenape

Committee members presented a proposal to create a new self‑contained behavioral disabilities classroom to be housed at Lenape. During the meeting presenters described the proposal as pending state approval but also said, in discussion, that the placement had been approved; transcript remarks contained both formulations. The district will proceed in accordance with New Jersey Department of Education requirements and with the understanding that final placement and program details are contingent on state approval and program requirements.
Board members congratulated staff for the instructional work and indicated the curriculum committee will continue to review implementation details and communications with families.
