Georgetown approves two vehicle purchases: wastewater truck and victim services van

For the wastewater department, staff reported multiple bids and recommended awarding the contract to First State Chevrolet for a 2026 Chevrolet Silverado work truck at a proposed price not to exceed $47,359.90. Finance staff, the wastewater superintendent and staff evaluated pricing and recommended the award; the council moved forward with the recommendation and recorded the approval during roll call.
For victim services, staff presented three bids and recommended awarding the purchase to Hertrich Fleet Services for a 2025 Toyota Sienna at $39,916. The staff said this purchase would be funded using budget savings realized due to additional grant funding. The council moved, seconded and approved that award by roll call.
Staff indicated vendor names and the recommended award amounts on the record and the council confirmed the purchases with roll-call votes recorded during the meeting.
