A staff member noted the vehicle purchases were within the line‑item total the department had budgeted: "In this staff report, it was that we've actually budgeted $311,000 and it came in at $268,698," a staff speaker said. Council approved the combined motion by roll call; the mayor reported the motion passed 5–0.
Council did not request additional information and directed staff to proceed with contract execution for the vehicles and to finalize bond‑release paperwork for the Lane Subdivision.
