Council corrects lottery agreement to add omitted renewal option, praises Players Kino partnership

"I think you've got one of the best Keno operating programs in the area," Sullivan said.
Council discussion included praise for Players Kino as a community partner and a council member noted that the operator has provided roughly $3,400,000 to the city for community benefit projects used on an annual basis, citing the staff report. A council member also observed that approving the agreement means it could remain in effect through 2040 under the contract's term structure.
The motion to amend and the subsequent vote to approve the agreement as amended passed with the recorded tally shown in the meeting record (7 ayes, 0 nays).
