Ambulance service reports 158 dispatches and presents FY2024 audit update

Brenda Cunningham, representing the county ambulance service, presented monthly operations figures and an update on audits during the Lewis County Fiscal Court meeting.
Cunningham reported 158 dispatch calls and 162 run forms for the period, with 106 transports (77 to SOMC). She said there were 39 refusals and a small number of cancellations before arrival. On performance metrics she said the turnout time averaged about 1 minute 28 seconds and 48% of responses were under eight minutes. "We did 162 run forms. We transported 106," Cunningham stated during her report.
Cunningham also said the FY2024 audit — required after a short 2024 operating period — will be presented that night, and that the FY2025 audit will follow next year because county audits run a year behind the fiscal year. Commissioners thanked the ambulance staff for their work and had no further questions.
The court accepted the report and expressed appreciation for the ambulance service’s responsiveness and for the work preparing the audits.
