A district presenter described Molnar’s classroom as one that emphasizes student responsibility and problem solving, and said an outside consultant who observed her class offered no suggestions for improvement. The board noted Molnar’s influence on colleagues and students and invited her family to the meeting for the recognition.
The district also recognized Megan Balon as the 2025 Geauga and Portage County Principal of the Year for her leadership at West Geauga Middle School and presented a county School Leader of the Year award to Dr. Marquardt for a decade of district leadership. Board and county representatives praised data-driven practices, vocational expansions and a multi-year record of high state performance rankings.
Superintendent’s remarks at the meeting reiterated appreciation for staff across transportation, instruction and operations as the district prepares to open the school year. The board framed the recognitions as part of broader efforts to highlight instructional excellence and community partnership ahead of fall enrollment.
