Taos swears in new town officials; council recognizes retiring staff

The Town of Taos administered oaths of office Dec. 10 to several newly appointed officials and recognized retiring employees.
Judge Richard Chavez administered the oaths for Mark T. Flores II (assistant town manager), Mark A. Archuleta (police chief), Ricky Granillo (police officer) and Jonathan I. Montoya (finance director). Each honoree thanked the council and community. The council also issued retirement proclamations honoring Orlinda Montoya (park superintendent, 15 years), Ricardo R. Romero (maintenance mechanic, 26 years) and Juan A. Lopez (parks maintenance specialist, 5 years) and expressed appreciation for their service.
