At its Dec. 11, 2024 meeting the Evansville Police Department Pension Board set a disability hearing for Officer Delano to take place on Feb. 13, 2025, within the board’s 90-day window for scheduling a hearing on the application.
Secretary (unnamed) asked members to check calendars and confirmed Feb. 13 as the hearing date; the secretary said they would notify the board attorney and Officer Delano. The board did not take a separate recorded vote on the scheduling item but agreed to the date during new business discussion.
The board also recorded personnel changes reported by the secretary. Officer Noah Manna (badge 1598) resigned effective Dec. 7, 2024, after serving 10 months and 14 days. Officer Brian Underwood (badge 1288) is listed as resigning effective Jan. 2, 2025, after 19 years, 6 months and 20 days. Officer Oksana Allen (badge 1594) resigned effective Dec. 11, 2024, after 10 months and 19 days. Chair (unnamed) and other members offered thanks and good wishes to departing officers.
Secretary (unnamed) also reported payroll totals for two recent dates (Nov. 15 and Nov. 30) were $241,716.79; the secretary characterized the stability of that amount as partly due to a low number of retiree deaths.
The board scheduled its next regular meeting for Jan. 8, 2025, in Room 307 of the Civic Center Plaza.
