Evansville board approves corrected third amendment to area-plan interlocal agreement

The Evansville board voted to approve and execute a corrected Third Amendment to the interlocal agreement between the City of Evansville and Mannerborough County concerning the area plan department. Counsel told the board the version previously presented for signature was the wrong document and the corrected version had now been supplied.
Counsel said the principal substantive change in the corrected amendment is that the board will have a direct appointment to the planning commission rather than three mayoral appointments. "The only significant change is that there now will be a direct appointment from a member of this board under the planning commission as opposed to three mayoral appointments," counsel said. Board members discussed designating a representative for that seat.
Board Member 2 moved to approve the corrected amendment, the motion was seconded and the board voted to approve the execution of the corrected document. The board did not record a roll-call vote in the transcript.
The board agreed staff will later designate which board member will serve as the appointee to the planning commission, and the corrected amendment will be executed for signature.
