Hamilton Council approves extensive year-end consent agenda including $2.3M budget transfers and multiple grants

At its Dec. 17 meeting Hamilton Township’s council approved a large year-end consent agenda (CA 1 through CA 47) that bundled reappointments, contract renewals and grant acceptances.
Key items the council president highlighted included a resolution authorizing transfers in the 2024 municipal budget (CA 2, 24-454) in the amount of $2,305,000; a professional-services agreement for tax-appeal counseling (CA 27, 24-479) with a shared maximum of $70,000; and a removed housing-consultant PSA (Triad Associates) that had been replaced by an alternate award disclosure contract for language-interpretation and specialized interpretation services not to exceed $70,000.
The consent agenda also included multiple capital and service contracts: professional engineering PSAs for wastewater-treatment and collection-system work (a combined, shared maximum reflected as $500,000 across listed firms before the item’s removal), vehicle capital purchases (three Ford Escapes and a Ford Transit 250 XL), mold remediation for the McManamon Building, HVAC-panel replacement at the Groveville fire station and recurring agreements such as a TCNJ nursing agreement for 2025 and a one-year extension with CYO to run the Bromley Civic Center.
Grant and revenue items called out by the president included a FEMA grant for breathing apparatus ($300,000), opioid-settlement funds of approximately $142,000, and a Community Development Block Grant of about $622,000. The council moved and approved the consent agenda; one abstention was recorded for CA 37 due to a family affiliation, otherwise the package carried.
Council members and staff noted that many items were routine annual renewals and budget-year housekeeping intended to position the township for 2025 operations.
