Mount Rainier council approves prior minutes, extends discussion and adjourns

Councilmember Luke moved to approve the minutes from the Oct. 15 work session and the Oct. 29 legislative meeting; the motion was seconded and the mayor said the minutes were approved unanimously.
Earlier in the meeting Councilmember Danielle moved to add five more minutes to continue discussion of the fire department update; Vice Mayor Valerie seconded and the extension was granted after no sustained objection.
At the meeting’s close, a motion to adjourn was moved and seconded and Mayor Benitez adjourned the session.
No other formal votes were taken at the meeting; the council was scheduled to review and vote on Nov. 19 work session minutes at a later meeting.
