At the Dec. 16 meeting the village board adopted the consent agenda after removing item C for separate consideration. A trustee moved to approve minutes from Nov. 18, 2024 and to accept the warrants list totaling $3,196,649.15; the motion carried on a roll‑call vote. The board also considered ordinance amendments to the retailers' occupation tax and service occupation tax for downtown and the Dundee Crossing Business Development District and approved action to proceed on that ordinance.
Separately, trustees discussed and voted to approve an ordinance amending water and wastewater (sewer) rates. Staff explained that the most recent amendment removes specific line items (items a–g) from the ordinance and relies on an attached 10‑year schedule of rates that will govern annual updates; staff said the schedule and attachments had been provided to the public. Trustees asked about how rate changes would be reflected on customer bills and about notice procedures when rates change.
Board members directed that the amended ordinance language and supporting schedules be clear to ensure the public has access to the full rate schedule prior to implementation.
