The Bloomington Board of Park Commissioners on Thursday approved a package of year-end contracts and appointments aimed at improving accessibility and operations across the city’s parks and recreation facilities.
Rebecca Swift, operations and development division director, told commissioners the board should award the Building and Trades Park Phase 1 contract to Reed and Sons to complete connector-trail work, ADA-compliant ramps, parking updates and amenities such as water fountains and bike racks. “We received five bids and Reed and Sons gave us the most competitive bid and we’re able to move forward with the base bid and Alternate 1,” Swift said. The board voted 4‑0 to award the contract.
