Barona band donates $5,000 to Eisenhower; Rialto nutrition team wins national awards

Dr. Riama McGyverg Eves, speaking for the district, introduced Vanessa Brialty, who represented Assemblymember James Ramos, and a Barona tribal representative. "Estamos aquí para presentarles un cheque de 5000 dólares que se donarán a la escuela preparatoria Eisenhower," the presenter said as the check was acknowledged.
Later in the meeting the district honored its school nutrition staff after the team took multiple awards at a national healthy-meals summit. Nutrition staffers described the district’s farm-to-cafeteria programming and innovations in meal packaging, and the board invited staff to the front of the room for recognition and photographs.
District leaders said the funds and recognitions highlight partnerships that support student enrichment and well‑being; the donation will be directed to music and outdoor-education programming at Eisenhower.
