Eagle Point SD 9 board votes to oppose three OSBA measures and endorses Dawn Watson for OSEA position

On the proposed dues-schedule increase, one board member said OSBA had not raised dues in more than two decades and that the suggested increase would disproportionately impact smaller districts. After discussion, a motion "not adopt" OSBA Resolution 1 (dues) carried and the secretary said she would complete the electronic ballot to record the board's selection.
The board also voted not to adopt OSBA Resolution 2, which would change an advisory LGBTQIA+ committee into a voting caucus, and not to approve OSBA Resolution 3, proposed bylaw amendments that would expand caucus representation on the OSBA board. Several members said they favored a broad "no" posture until OSBA demonstrates more stable governance.
Separately, the board unanimously moved to support incumbent Dawn Watson for OSEA Board of Directors position 5 (Region 5) and recorded a roll-call vote in favor.
