North Aurora trustees approve special-event permit to close cul-de-sac for June wedding

Steve (identified in the meeting as the presenter) said the applicant, Tanya Glavich, wants a tent and a cul-de-sac closure for the event. Because the planned music would extend to 11 p.m., the request requires board approval under the village’s noise ordinance, which sets the cutoff at 10 p.m. Steve said the applicant had talked with neighbors, secured signatures on the cul-de-sac and would apply for a block-party closure.
A motion to approve the permit was made and seconded. During the roll call Trustees Lowery, Niedrich, Salazar, Christiansen, Curtis and Gaitley were recorded as voting yes and the permit was approved.
No conditions or modifications to the permit were recorded in the meeting minutes; staff noted the applicant had coordinated with the business manager, Mike Toth.
