The Mundelein Village Board approved several motions and ordinances during its Nov. 25 meeting.
The board unanimously approved the minutes of its Nov. 11 meeting and later adopted a resolution canceling the Dec. 3, 2024 board meeting while authorizing the village administrator to approve payment of bills between Dec. 10 and Dec. 23, 2024.
After discussion of resident concerns and parking patterns, trustees voted to amend Ordinance 74‑07‑21 (Chapter 10 of the Mundelein Municipal Code) addressing parking on Morris Avenue and Park Street. The clerk recorded the vote as 4–2 in favor of the amendment.
Other adopted items included an ordinance amending membership of the Old Number 1 Fire Truck Preservation Committee (unanimous), and a motion approving Change Order 1 for the Allinson Road Water Main Improvement Project: purchase order #14416 to 8 Lamp Concrete for $48,654 (unanimous roll call approval).
The Finance Committee moved to approve payment of governing body bills for the period Nov. 12–Nov. 25, 2024 in the amount of $641,154.16; the motion carried on roll call. The board also approved several AT&T line items as listed in the finance report.
A motion related to GTI Mundelein LLC (RISE) to amend Ordinance 21‑09‑70 to permit on‑premises cannabis consumption at properties including 1325 Armour Boulevard passed on roll call. The board also granted a special use and variations for a Flannery & Collins townhouse project by roll call vote.
The board recessed into executive session to discuss land acquisition/sale of property (5 ILCS 120/2(c)(5)) and minutes (5 ILCS 120/2(c)(21)). No final action was taken publicly on the Teravis concept presentation at this meeting; trustees asked staff to coordinate further resident outreach and code review before any formal change to business‑registration limits.
