The Yellowstone County Board of County Commissioners on Dec. 3 approved a series of routine resolutions and administrative items during its meeting.
The board approved Resolution 24-1-58, a resolution of intent to abandon a portion of Bone Avenue; no members of the public spoke for or against the proposal during the public hearing. A motion to approve the resolution was made, seconded and adopted by voice vote.
The board also approved Resolution 24-1-59 to rename Shinnecock Place and Shinnecock Circle to Sheffler Way in the 9 Subdivision after an open public hearing produced no speakers. In addition, commissioners approved Resolution 24-1-60 to cancel the Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2024 board meeting.
Following those items the board approved claims numbered 25-065 and 25-066 and then moved to approve the consent agenda and place the associated file items to file. Each measure was presented on the consent or regular agenda, called for motion and second, and passed on voice vote.
The meeting contained no recorded public opposition to the three resolutions. Where votes were recorded, they were voice 'ayes' announced by the board and the chair declared the motions approved; the transcript does not include a roll-call-style tally of individual member votes.
