The Tempe Union High School District governing board voted unanimously to approve several board policies and routine agenda items.
During the meeting the board considered policy IJJ (textbook and supplementary material selection) for first reading and adoption. Member Hodge moved approval of IJJ and Vice President Steele seconded; the board approved the policy by voice vote (announced as passed 4‑0).
The board next approved IKA, the district’s grading and assessment systems policy. Member James moved to approve IKA; Vice President Steele thanked staff (Miss Hilgers) for the updated language. The motion passed by voice vote with the chair announcing a 4‑0 result.
The board then approved IKAB (report cards and progress reports) after a motion and second; that item also passed unanimously.
