Police Commission elects officers, votes to hold closed session and not to disclose discussions
Summary
The Commission elected Commissioner Loftus as President and Vice President Turman to another term by unanimous roll-call vote, voted to hold a closed session under the administrative code, and then voted not to disclose closed-session discussions.
At the May 13 meeting the San Francisco Police Commission conducted its required May officer election and other procedural votes.
Commissioner Malara nominated Commissioner Loftus for President; the nomination was seconded and a roll-call vote recorded unanimous approval. Commissioner De Jesus nominated Vice President Turman for re-election; that motion also passed unanimously.
Later the Commission moved to hold closed session under San Francisco Administrative Code section 6.7.1 and, after returning to open session, voted not to disclose any or all discussions from the closed session under San Francisco Administrative Code section 6.7.12.
No policy changes were made during the elections and closed-session votes; the Commission adjourned after the proceedings.
