Hansen said CCSF has spent an estimated $22 million in preparation for a performing arts education center at the reservoir site, a project she said is not reflected in SFPUC planning documents. She questioned reliance on CCSF trustees' comments while the college is under a state‑imposed administration and its trustee meetings are not videotaped or broadly available for public review, asserting the college's governance status makes assessment of cumulative impacts "messy."
Her remarks asked the commission to ensure planning documents reflect the project's full history and to consider the interconnected use and history between CCSF and SFPUC on the Balboa parcel. No commission action on the matter occurred at the meeting; the comment was part of the communications/public comment portion of the agenda.
