PUC approves consent calendar and several contract, grant and rate items

Emilio Cruz presented the item and commissioners recognized representatives from the partner organizations; the motion was moved, seconded and carried.
Item 10: Commissioners approved amendment number 1 to agreement CS946, increasing the agreement by $500,000 and extending completion by six months to continue work on Upper Tuolumne River flow releases and downstream habitat benefits; the motion was moved and carried.
Item 11: The commission approved an increase in construction contract cost contingency for contract WD2652 by $979,457 and authorized future modifications that could bring the total revised contract amount up to $15,221,597. Staff said a major storm had damaged the construction site and environmental components during work, requiring a change order to restore project goals.
Item 12: The commission considered and adopted the proposed wholesale revenue requirement and a rate schedule for fiscal year 2013'14 that staff said reflects a 16.4% decrease in wholesale rates, along with updates to late fees and a discount for untreated water. The motion was moved, seconded and carried by voice votes.
