SFPUC approves consent calendar including multiple construction and JOC awards

The Public Utilities Commission approved the consent calendar en bloc on May 22 after staff read multiple contract items. The consent calendar included final payments and modifications for pipeline and paving contracts (examples: WD2430 and WD2619), an extension and increase to an annual paving contract (WD2634CDD) for main‑break response, an award for Bayview Hunters Point District sewer replacement and pavement renovation to the lowest qualified bidder, and JOC HVAC energy‑efficiency awards for the San Francisco Peninsula not to exceed $3,000,000 each.
The commission also ratified an emergency declaration for immediate drilling and blasting work to address a rock fall (work awarded to California Drilling and Blasting) and approved selection of federal legislative representation and advocacy services under agreement CS232R (item H) to Daryl Owens, Incorporated with authorization for the general manager to negotiate a professional services agreement not to exceed $1,250,000 over an initial 3‑year term.
A motion to approve the consent calendar was moved, seconded and carried with no recorded opposition.
