San Francisco — The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission approved its consent calendar and authorized amendments to memoranda of agreement with regional agencies before entering a brief closed session.
During the open meeting the commission adopted the consent calendar (items a–e), which included amendments, contract modifications and authorizations for water and wastewater professional services and construction contracts. The chair called for a motion and the commission voted in favor.
The commission then voted to authorize the general manager to execute amendment number 1 to a memorandum of agreement with the Association of Bay Area Governments for regional water-quality support services and to execute a separate amendment with the California Department of Fish and Game to provide priority review and expedited permits for WESIP-related permit applications; both measures were approved on voice votes.
Later the commission moved into closed session to discuss attorney–client privileged matters including threats to public services and multiple litigation matters. Upon return to open session, the commission reported that agenda items 17–19 were settled and voted not to disclose the closed-session discussions. The meeting adjourned at 4:30 p.m.
