Private vendor honors SFPD officers for robbery arrests

At the start of its June 10 meeting, the San Francisco Police Commission received a presentation from John Petrick of Spectrum Management (ETS) recognizing officers involved in several bank and credit-union robberies.
Petrick praised a long-standing partnership between ETS and the department and highlighted three incidents in which officers used tracking technology and coordinated tactics to make arrests and recover cash. He named Sergeant Phil Wong, Officers Patrick Griffin, Sean Jackson, Kevin Byrne, AJ Holder and Andy Castro among those recognized.
Petrick told the commission the partnership with the department "has provided the city of San Francisco with a very powerful tool" for officer safety and prosecution. Chief Heather Fong and commissioners thanked the vendor and the officers for their work.
The recognition was ceremonial; no policy action was taken.
