Resolutions to request Board of Supervisors approval to accept and expend funds from the California Office of Emergency Services (to implement a multi-jurisdictional methamphetamine enforcement team) and from the U.S. Department of Justice COPS office (COPSMITH 2007 program) were moved, seconded and adopted "without objection." Commissioner David Veronese recused himself from the OES item; Commissioner Thomas Mazuko recused himself from the COPS item, each citing a potential conflict.
The commission also approved minutes for Sept. 26 and Oct. 3, voted to convene a closed session, later voted for nondisclosure of closed-session discussion, and approved a motion to adjourn; these procedural actions were recorded as "without objection" or as motions with seconds in the transcript.
