The Finance & Planning committee recommended and the commission approved the consent calendar, which included contract continuations and new contracts: a renewal/continuation for HealthRIGHT 360; an additional $5,250,000 award for a COVID community-wellness initiative administered through the San Francisco Public Health Foundation; a LabCorp contract to support testing capacity; a roughly $3,000,000 food-service contract and contingency for Laguna Honda while kitchen flooring repairs require temporary external food service; and an information-security contract.
Separately, Laguna Honda gift-fund program manager Mr. Frazier requested a $25,000 budget increase to fund the hospital'wide holiday gift program because Friends of Laguna Honda could not complete timely donations due to sunshine-ordinance compliance. The commission moved, seconded and approved the requested modification by roll call.
The commission also voted to enter closed session and later voted not to disclose closed-session discussions, then returned briefly and adjourned.
