Health Commission elects officers, approves minutes and moves to closed session

After the elections, a motion to convene a closed session (item 9) was moved and seconded and approved by roll-call vote. The chair told members of the public that, because of the virtual format, the meeting would not reconvene publicly after the closed session and would simply adjourn.
Commissioners and staff thanked colleagues, city leadership and the mayor for supporting the department's COVID-19 response during what they called "extraordinary times." The commission then adjourned to closed session.
