DPH honors staff; Prime initiative earned full performance and accreditation team recognized

Commissioners also recognized the Prime initiative team for meeting 57 of 57 performance measures and "earning 100% of the $34,000,000 available for fiscal year 16, 17," according to the presentation. Officials said Prime is a pay-for-performance program that engaged more than 100 staff across multiple teams to improve care delivery and data analytics.
The Medical Respite and Sobering Center'which provides post-acute care for people experiencing homelessness and short-term sobering services'received a group award. The program was described as operating up to 75 respite beds and 11 sobering beds in a newly expanded facility and as playing a critical role in safely discharging patients from Zuckerberg San Francisco General.
The public health accreditation team, led by Karen Pierce, was acknowledged for preparing hundreds of documents and completing an arduous accreditation process with the National Public Health Accreditation Board.
Speakers emphasized the operational importance of these programs to DPH's mission of protecting and promoting health for the most vulnerable populations in the city.
