The Health Commission voted to approve the consent calendar, which included two items highlighted by the Finance and Planning Committee.
Commissioner Chang said the committee approved a modification reducing the MET Impact Healthcare Systems contract from 18 months to 9 months, with the option to revisit in September. The consent calendar also included authorization to add new drop-in locations for Richmond Area Multi Services (RAMS) near Civic Center (Market, Ninth and Larkin).
Carlos Bassir, CEO of Richmond Area Multi Services, told the commission the Market Street site is intended to serve citywide behavioral-health clients and will accept self-referrals and referrals from community providers. "So this would be citywide," Bassir said, and staff noted hours will initially be typical business hours (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) with plans to pilot evening and weekend hours as demand dictates.
The consent calendar passed by voice vote; there were no extracts and no public comments for the item.
