SFHSS outlines open-enrollment materials, new plan offerings and flu clinic schedule

Mitchell summarized implementation steps — member-services training, registration improvements for City College groups, a postcard and email campaign to notify current PPO members about the claims-administrator change, and a telephone outreach campaign — and emphasized that paper enrollment forms will not be included with most mailings; members may print forms if needed.
Well-being Manager Carrie Beshears described the flu clinic plan: 23 confirmed clinics running from September through early November, a mix of open clinics for any employee/retiree and closed badge-access clinics, appointment-based scheduling, and continued partnership with Kaiser for clinics. Beshears said COVID vaccines and boosters will not be paired with flu clinics as of the Sept. 2 decision point, though the city is running pop-up COVID vaccine sites separately.
Ending: Staff said recorded webinars and office hours will be available throughout October and that they will provide follow-up communications and in-person support at targeted locations (for example, an Oct. 6 event tied to a Hetch Hetchy flu clinic).
