Key figures: 122,547 medically enrolled lives and 128,506 total lives when waiver counts are included; dental enrollment increased by 1,861 lives; Kaiser remains the largest plan carrier with nearly 60% of lives. Coleridge said the demographic work will inform rates, plan design, and future strategic initiatives such as social-determinants analysis.
Executive Director Abby Yount presented highlights from the annual report: trust fund contributions exceed $900 million, self-service eBenefits launched successfully, and the medical-plan RFP was delayed to May to permit a more considered solicitation for the 2021 plan year. The board asked staff to add the executive‑director search and the actuary contract renewal into the final annual report; staff agreed to make those edits.
Outcome: the board approved the annual report (with two requested content edits) and received the demographic report; staff will publish the reports online and consider additional drilldowns for future updates.
